Genocide Is Bad

Responding to email from Congressional Representative:

Thank you for your email entitled “Responding to Your Message”. My message to you was: “Stop the Genocide in Gaza”. It still is.

I had no hope at all that my voice would carry any weight whatsoever in the hallowed halls of Congress. You do not represent me or any other New Yorker in Congress. You represent the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party represents powerful multi-national corporations that buy influence through legalized bribes called “campaign contributions”. This is also true of the Republican Party.

You say “there is no easy one-word or binary solution”. How about two words? NEVER AGAIN.

I am approximately the same age as the State of Israel. All through my life I have heard those words linked to the Holocaust. Since October 7, 2023 I have been watching THE AGAIN. The same government that justifies its actions by mouthing, “Never Again” is guilty of genocide. I am not just talking about Israel. The bombs and weapons they are using have been provided by The United States of America in the name of “Democracy”. Your idea of Democracy is not mine.

You do not represent me. I have no power to stop the killing, but I still have control over my own mind and my own words. The State of Israel, enabled by the government of the United States of America and the governments of every other “Western Democracy” is guilty of Genocide.

Not in my name!
